Aliens: Berserker - Not a bad comic!

Interesting. Enjoyed the idea of a drug-addict saved from death by being entombed in a giant 'power-suit' (couldn't help but wonder if they had to pay licensing fees to Games Workshop LOL). Even better when the body was hauled out all emaciated and green (or was that some sort of body-suit?) for Ellis to grab the bull by the horns and jump in. Obviously it had some serious ethical implications but this is just a comic we're talking about so I won't get too fussy.

I also found it interesting that Teape(?) was given a pardon from prison provided he join these bug-hunting missions. That was cool.

The art style was different, decent, and the colour-palette carried the red/orange/brown theme throughout which I appreciated in spite of it being somewhat bland. The art wasn't INCREDIBLE as it isn't in most comics, and I even commented on how AMAZING the comic would be if every frame was as awesome as the cover art (and these days with computers I'm sure it could be done). In fact, can one imagine how great an anime movie would be with art like that? 24 frames per second? Wow... if only.

The story wasn't too amazing or complex but it was somewhat interesting and decent enough. As usual the corporation Weyland Yutani screwed people over. I really wasn't expecting Izzard to go along with it but glad he got his comeuppance.

In the end I would grant this comic a 3/5 stars ***
